I wish to sum up different styles of dance through looking at some of bboys, bgirls and break dance stage at Poland and at word. From where I've got this idea? Mainly during the last a few days ago  we had in Wroclaw disputable panel with great bboys, who have started dancing at 80's and 90's. They were talking about valuable staff. There were so many topics on the panel, some of them were: nomenclature of moves, style of the dance in the past and meeting of dancers then. Decó- one of the representative of Stylowa Spółka Społem crew told us that, that time each town had their own style. If you saw somebody dancing you knew where this dancer from. Bboys met each other on the competition or sort kind of meeting, because there were no jams. Every town got one person, who was the best and who was admired by others.

Decó was telling, that if one bboy was showing other for example windmills, he was doing it to teach him  as less as he can. This kind of situations were obvious for 90's. All dancers wants to be the best. There were no classes and workshops, you had to deal on your own to learn something new. I can remember it, because at 2000- when I've started to dance it was similar and quite hard to get some information about the break dance and a technique.

I think that remarks of bboy Kruk (representing WHSB) were very precious as well. He was telling about having fun when you dancing. Don't be afraid of be unique and to put some unconventional moves into your dance. The individuality was a very important for old school bboys. As a matter of fact today being remarkable is more important than ever. Why? It's easy. Nowadays we have the Internet and lots of workshops. There is a huge group of people who copy moves from other dancers, that makes impression that many bboys are dancing alike. It was one of the our topics at Wroclaw, as well.

Now, I would like to give some of my thoughts. First of all I would like to give the respect for that meeting and the knowledge which I've got from past teams's bboys. They remind me that everybody dances on their own way. Furthermore  we should work on becoming  better and be focus on being more precise and specific in our moves. Good move is not everything, it's important how you go to one move and to transit with flow to another move.

In my opinion, it's not true that many bboys are dancing in the same way. It's false ascertainment , because every country has got better and worse players. Not everybody will be remarkable. I think that Poland has got many great dancers who have great styles. There is a lot of polish bboys who have got unique tricks and there is a big group of dancers with unusual feeling with the music.  I would like to notice that polish bboys are taking inspiration from different things, not only from one, as it was in France, when everybody were following Benji's style. Every man has got his own personality and individual way of thinking. That's why when you creating  new moves and add them to your style- you become more and more characteristic.

Let's try to find out from where we can get an inspiration to create new moves. There is a few ways to do it. Usually when we have practice, we're joking around, we get many ideas. During the workout we free our minds, having lots of fun  and lots of  freestyle. The inspiration usually is coming from life every day and our surroundings, not from bboy's world. The good example of individual character is B-boy Greku. When he is  doing babymills he gets on his back, starts to swing and sucks his finger like a baby. For many bboys is to simple and not in bboy's style. I think that's wrong line of reasoning, because this kind of moves helps to be more original and many people like to see things like this. It brings to dance freshness. First person who inspire me to  create own moves was Bboy Daro from Azizi crew. When he was dancing he affected to be awash as the heron or something like that.

The next way to find your own, new moves is getting an inspiration from other bboys.  When you watching people on jams or competition, you can find out that some of their moves are really hot. You come back on your training room and you trying to do something similar. It's hard to repeat in exactly the same the move, which you've seen just one time. Your move never will be the same as an original, because will be practice from other variations and combinations..

It's not the same when you're watching trailers or videos trying to copy somebody moves. You can't copy somebody's work. Own style and good moves it's hard work, that's way it's not fair to steal this.

For many dancers a great inspiration can be animals behavior or simple every day things. This kind of moves shown by Alien Ness from FSS, when during his set he drove up the car and got out of it. Many viewers were confused, because that was something new and fresh.

To sum up this, I would like to say that you should be and stay yourself from the very  begging till the end. If you have some ideas and you love it don't think what other will say, just do it. When you are on the competition, you should show your true personality with your own original moves, give people a piece of you when you dancing. Practice on your weak skills on your training. On the battle show what you have the best. For me bboy Focus have got all elements of bboys on a very high level, but definitely he's footwork is crazy!

One day I had chance to be watch the competition, where one of judge was Taya from Flow Mo. There were fighting two crews together. In one was friend of mine, with who I had chance to train. I knew his powermoves were sick, but to my surprise he did almost only footwork and he loose with crew which was worse. After the battle I asked him why he hadn't shown his powermoves, he answered me that it's because Taya prefer footwork. I can't agree with his attitude, because a battle is the time when you have to show your strength not weakness. I told this story to show you that  it doesn't matter who is judging,  you have to remember  to be yourself and do your thing.

Peace
